Happy Thanksgiving.....

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."~Melody Beattie

Yup, it is done....

Today was a beautiful day.

First, the weather was incredible....70 degree's.

I had some wonderful moments of personal success. I stepped on the scale this morning and I am officially down 40 lbs......yes, you read that right, 40 lbs. I actually have 40lbs more to go....But I am half way there [actually, after the next event of the day, I have decided that my final goal will be 50lbs more.....but hey, I celebrated like I was half way there, since that was my original goal that I set a few months ago]

How am I doing it? I am following a program in the book titled 'Eat to Live'....and exercising.

That brings me to the next event of the day.

I ran my first 5K...........I did it, I finished in 37 minutes 31 seconds. My sister [who had finished 12 minutes ahead of me] came back to the race about 3/4 of a mile in and ran the race with me....pushing me ahead. When we crossed the finish line [Patti's second time of the day] I looked towards the heavens and told my Mother how much I loved her. She is part of the reason I am finding myself again.........

Turkey Trot
My number and ribbon.

Otto and Connor ran together and came in at 38minutes10seconds....I was so proud of the two of them.

We then headed to my Michael and Victoria's and had a lovely feast......Delicious food, drink and time spent together with family.

I am so very Thankful for all the blessings in my life.

Here are a few pictures from our gathering.
