The Sweetest Thing

Photo Sharing - Video Sharing - Photo Printing - Photo Books

This has to be one of the sweetest things I have ever seen. The video clip is from some of Emma Sage's Floor Hockey game today......not too exciting, cute little kids running around after a puck and trying their hardest to hit it towards the goal and score.

BUT, watch closely, just after Emma Sage comes towards me and the camera and moves up toward the goal....the little boy numbered 96......accidently hits Emma Sage in the head with his stick, and watch what he does.....he leans over and rubs her head to help her 'boo-boo'.....and then you can see that Emma Sage is still not sure what exactly happend and is rubbing her head still as it hurt her.

This has to be one of the sweetest things I have ever seen. That little boy was just so precious, endearing and so very kind!!!!!

PS: How is Emma Sage going with her riding and her little pony? I hope she's enjoying her horsey adventures! :)

Here's a couple of silly photos of my six month old foal, Clancy :)

Adorable! Emma has much more interest in the location of the puck (ball?) than my son did at that age. He usually just stood there looking like he wished he were anywhere else. My neighbor, who is a gymnastics teacher, got very smug that HER boys liked sports and the gym teacher collared my husband at a back-to-school night and whispered her concerns about our son's lack of "ball skills" in hushed tones as if she had discovered a gun and a syringe in his backpack.
Flash forward a few years to the beginning of sixth grade. Our son was accepted at a very good private day school, where he would stay until graduating from high school last May.
My neighbor must have said something to her sons, who attended the local middle school, because they told my son the only reason we sent him to this excellent, very expensive school was THERE WERE NO GYM CLASSES THERE!
This wasn't true. My son played on the golf team, swam on the ski team, went skiing, played lacrosse and got involved in many sports.
He's now a freshman at D@rtmouth.
What it's taking me too long to say is, sports should be fun. Sure there's an element of competition but when gym teachers start suggesting there is something seriously wrong because a kid prefers doing other things to dribbling a ball, it's time to question what place sports should have in a child's life.
The children playing floor hockey in your video know a lot more than a certain gym teacher.
