Potato Letters
Emma Sage just loves to cook and is always finding creative ways to spell her name....so today, she came up with potato letters while we were making homemade French Fries.
We have been so busy.....learning lots, celebrating these very cold winter days. We get outside for about a half hour clip at a time......to fill our lungs with crisp cold air and get some of that 'cabin fever' energy spent. The pond is frozen and Emma Sage is really getting the hang of being up on her ice skates.
I've been missing my Mother so very much.......each time my little girl comes up to me and gives me a huge hug and tells me in her sweet, pixie-voice "I love you Mommy"......I smile and think of how much I love my Mommy, and how blessed I have been to have my Mothers love surround me my whole life. I pray that my own children will always know the depths of my love and how I cherish them.

your mom is there with you all, Tara!
Give me a call if you need to talk sometime.
Marcie and Imants and the baby are coming down tomorrow for the night and we are babysitting for Claire down in So Jersey Saturday night!
Can't wait to see them.
Say hi to all!
ps... very excited for Katrina and her acceptance to Flagler in Fla :)
Emma is such a creative little girl! And now it's 9am and I'm craving french fries!
It was the 4th anniversary yesterday of my own mother's passing. When she comes into my thoughts I give her a hug.
I just wanted to thank you for posting these beautiful photos and videos on your blog! My daughter Stella and I really enjoy "meeting" Emma Sage online. Stella, who was born five months after Emma Sage and also has DS, especially liked the Stone Soup videos and said "Bye" when she said bye!
I admire you so much for homeschooling. Blessings!
Those look like just about the yummiest letters I've ever seen! :)
We had a stamp made just for Paige with her name in it, framed by a heart, that she uses to "write" her name with.
My own heart jumps every time I see it somewhere - although I must admit I wasn't horribly thrilled the day daddy was "watching" her and there was a 5 foot long trail of "Paige" hearts in hot pink on my wall, rofl!!!
I sense interior decorator in her future!! And I guess its better than "poop paint" -- luckily we never experienced that!
Yes, they will and they do.
Oh, and I have to say, I just LOVE Emma Sage's stripey tights -- Paige has so many pairs of those -- every pair LLBean has ever made!!
I think their little legs are so adorable in them -- I call it "first grade legs" -- little boney legs that are barely bigger at the top than they are at the bottom.
I wish they looked so cute on 42 year old women who are 5'1" (square, lol!) 'cause I'd be wearing them with birkenstocks and a jean jumper every single day!!!!
As soon as my kids grow up and aren't mortified by their mother's kookiness, I think I'm gonna get me some!!! :)
You go Emma Sage!!! How very very creative! I can feel the love in your post for your mom TM, and my heart goes out to you!
We are so very blessed to have great mothers, and the opportunity to be mothers ourselves. You are wonderful!!!!
