New Friends....

Our new friend Joshua came over to play with his Mommy! It was so much fun watching all the children play. They had a grand-old time at the water table,,,,and ended up getting more on themselves than stayed in the table [but that's OK because the sun was shining warmly and it was refreshing]. We walked down to our pond to find frogs....and the frogs delighted us with a leaps from the grasses into the water,,,then popping their green, sliming heads out of the water, and lots of croaking! Lunch was delicious, you can never go wrong with Pizza. We snacked on Apples and dip [very easy to make, low-fat cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla.....whiped till fluffy and green granny smith apples! YUM!] and carrots and rance dip and sweet green grapes. Oh yeah and the big favorite amongst 4 year olds, Peperidge Farm Gold Fish!

Enjoy the pictures below of the fun time we shared with new friends!

Keep on posting those pics. Maybe it will make my wife a little more comfortable about posting ours. A family friend of ours has a teenage son that is autistic. When ever he sees our Little Peanut he wants to hold her, of course we let him. He cuddles, talks, and plays with her. It is such a heart warming moment to see them together. It's almost as if they share a life altering secret that only those two know.

I know the thought of sharing in cyberspace can seem scary, But I believe a picture says a thousand words.

I want the world to see that Emma Sage is just like everyone else, unique, with her own special gifts and talents.

Her picture is linked at the National Down syndrome Congress website with the essay "Welcome to Holland".....I can't begin to tell you how many people have contacted me and said that by looking at her smiling face, upon the diagnosis of T21 they felt a sense of calm and peace. I figure if I share her with the world, the world will open their arms and embrace all people with T21.

and I'd love to see a picture of your peanut someday.
