Well, close enough. We tried to get a photograph today for my Christmas Cards. Sadly, with Miss Emma Sage and her ability to move quickly, and my camera with such a long shutter lag, the project was not a success. Oh, how I would love to beable to purchase a nice digital SLR with a great lens........the pictures I could capture. lol!!! Someday, someday soon I will own one. I just know I will!!!!!
Yes, Emma Sage is a bugger.....she will hold a pose for a split second and then bam....she is on to something else! At least Greta and Otto will wait for the shutter to finally release.
Doesn't Otto look handsome in his glasses......
I loved this one of Greta and Otto.....

Beautiful pictures
Even with Miss Emma moving, your kids are gorgeous. Maybe another time you will get the Christmas card photos!
These look great!!! Would LOVE to get the Christmas Card, hehe.
beautiful photos m'dear. thank you for the box.
xo r
Loved all of them...Otto looks very smart and dignified with his glasses.
I just got a DSLR and I love it.
You have a most beautiful family!
Laura!
These photos are sooo beautiful, as is your family.
(If you think you need a better camera, I can't wait to see what you can do with it!)
Thank you for sharing.
Great pictures, but I'm perplexed...what kind of camera do you use if it's not a digital SLR? I always think your pictures are so wonderful and so "professional," so I'm surprised to learn that you aren't using the SLR. My pictures certainly never turn out like yours. You must just have the magic touch.
BTW, Otto looks so much older than he did in pictures that you just posted this summer. How is it that kids change so fast???
Thank you all....Conny, e-mail me your address and I'd love to send you out one of my finished cards. There is a link on the front page of the blog to send e-mails.
neurotic Atty.....Thank you for the compliments. I love to take pictures, so the camera is secondary to a shot...but it is such an asset for great quality images. I shot with a Sony Cybershot [ DSC-H5 ] which is only 7.2 megapixels, but it does have a Carl Zeis lens.
I also have a great 35mm....but with film and processing so expensive, I don't use it anymore, as the ease of the digital is what I need for capturing my children's and my life on film. My dream digital camera [and what I am saving up for] is a NikonD200. I have older Nikon lens that I will beable to use with it.
and isn't amazing how quickly children grow....Otto is 11 and just hitting that 'growth' period. He is already 5'5".....next summer he will be taller than me! yikes!
You got a few good ones! The kids are beautiful as always! I love the fall leaves and the trees in the photos! They will make great Xmas cards!
Ohh - I love that last one TM :) The girls have such beautiful eyes!
I know what you mean about capturing photos and how quickly our "subjects" can move - we have a lot of that here at our photo shoots :)
Hope you get the perfect picture next time, although I love the one of the three of them with Otto in his glasses!
