Magical child....

So very exciting. This picture of Emma Sage was chosen to appear in a clendar of people with Down syndrome that was organized by two groups on Flickr.com.

If you would like to order a calendar, just let me know here on this blog comment place or head over to Flickr.com and place your order with the administrators. You can see all the pictures for the calendar there.

This was a very hard endeavor, to chosen only 12 photographs, because each and every picture submitted was precious and wonderful.

So here is our little calendar girl!

This picture was from a series that Greta and I took up at the Teetertown Ravine [which is a mile up the land from our house and had been part of my in-laws property and they gifted it to Green Acres to make the park].....one of the pictures from the set is part of our Christmas cards this year, so it has proven to be such a great, fun, magical day photographing.

Emma Sage is so beautiful.

I believe that part of my mission is to make sure that as many people as possible see or meet my little girl. I think it's so important to show other people that people with Down syndrome are beautiful, wonderful, precious. This is all part of my goal to raise awareness that life is not over when you learn that your child - born or unborn - has Down syndrome.

I love what you're doing with Emma Sage and modeling. I've considered doing something similar with Ellie - she loves the camera - but I have no idea how to even get started.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
