Relaxing and carefree days.....the end of summer

Today we had a very nice, relaxing day.

We slept in late.......Daddy made breakfast.

We headed out to comparison shop for a new stove [since mine blew up during the week of, 'what could go wrong ,went wrong']

We stopped at Applebee's [Katrina, Greta, Otto, Emma Sage and I] and had a nice lunch and talked about their busy first week of school. Emma Sage starts school on Tuesday.

We hit Lowes, Home Depot, Sears and Wal-mart [have I ever mentioned that I hate to shop]...then headed home to get ready to attend our cousin Michaels 12th Birthday celebration!

We had great food, cold beer and the horse-shoes were clinking and clanking. Emma Sage had a blast eating, dancing and visiting with everyone.

Otto is staying for the camp-fire and sleep-over and I headed home with the girls to take baths and just relax [fully knowing I can sleep in again tomorrow.....a delightful treat for this Momma who seems to never get enough shut-eye]. Ricky stayed and then was heading to another party on this bike.

Days like this are so wonderful....just relaxed and carefree. I hope you all have a great Labor Day weekend!

Good luck for the first day of school! I found your blog from the Flickr Down Syndrome group. I am also the mum of a little boy with DS, Archie who is 4. We're looking forward to school in a year's time!!
