Locks of Love

Today, Emma Sage had her first 'official' haircut and donated her hair to 'Locks of Love'

I donated 19 inches of hair in December and Emma Sage was so excited about the whole process......and told me that she also wanted to donate.

  3. It's so strange to see her without that long hair/braids! But what a wonderful thing Emma Sage decided to do. She looks cute with her new do...she looks older too!

oh! Emma Sage looks beautiful with her new haircut! I agree with Michelle that she also looks older!

You must be so proud of your little girl - she has such a kind heart to donate her hair to a wonderful cause. What a sweetheart!

Her little riding jodhpurs are very cute too!

  10. Life is somuch easier with the shorter hair! Since Meg had hers cut 2 months ago, she's had it down nearly al the time rather than needing to be plaited everyday, AND she can brush it all herself - suddenly it's like we have an extra hour in the day :)

  13. She looks beautiful.

I agree with Michelle--those braids of hers were sort of her trademark though. She does look older with this new chic do!

Emma Sage's hair is so gorgeous; lovely to think that someone else will be able to enjoy that beauty as their own; especially at time when they really need it.

  14. OK, first of all, WOW! I have an 8-year-old niece with hair at least as long as Emma Sage's who I have been gently suggesting Locks of Love to for 2 years, and she runs for the hills (literally) at the very mention of scissors. So for an even younger child to be so excited about the prospect says a lot about her character! Second of all, I LOVE the new look! Very grown up!

  16. I nearly fainted at these pictures! As you know, Paige's hair was past her bum, and we had to cut/donate because it was so tangled while she was on her back for so long.

I felt like someone was cutting my heart out with a knife when those scissors clipped the first strand, and Paige only got hers cut halfway up her back.

I am way tooo attached to her long hair!

You are brave indeed!!! And she looks absolutely adorable!

What a nice thing to do! I'm impressed by Emma's willingness to donate her beautiful long hair to help someone in need. She's gorgeous with or without the braids and yes, the ribbon does make her look like Snow White!
